    INTRODUCTION

    The SBT's metal spot welders use high frequency vibration and pressure to join separate pieces, typically non-ferrous metals. An acoustic tooling horn pushes through a top layer and fuses it with a bottom layer. SBT's ultrasonic spot welder series can be tooled for a wide range of welding applications, such as battery, delicate assemblies, small-gauge nonferrous metals, capacitors, and air bag systems, while delivering high-level precision and process control. The actuator is also available as a stand-alone unit for installation on automatic machines.
