IGBT/SiC Terminals Ultrasonic Welder-Power Terminal Connectors
INTRODUCTION
Ultrasonic metal welding is a standard technology in power electronics packaging, primarily for joining power terminal connectors to direct bonded copper (DBC). Unlike conventional soldering, ultrasonic welding of load-current and control connections provides comprehensive process and quality monitoring. Reliability tests show that ultrasonically welded power modules achieve approximately ten times longer service life.
SBT ULTRASONIC offers an economical solution for these connections. The necessary components, such as generators, controllers, and converters, are integrated into a welding system. The servo motor accesses and welds individual welding positions using predefined coordinates.
